Well my man and I made it over to Fort Wayne's second, yes that's right, second yarn store on their opening day! I forgot my camera but had my cell phone to snap some pics:

All in all I really like it... very comfortable and friendly, bright and well lit, good selection, and I really like the fact that it is super close to my house!!!!!!

An Epic Friday

Today is an especially awesome Friday.... because today I cast off not ONE but TWO PROJECTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol. I am sure some of you naturally amazing knitters this happens all the time, but for me... its quite rare ;-)

My Fabulous Friday FOs (FFFOs) are:


1. Quant!!!! I still need to block it but I think it looks pretty cool. The entrelac was fun after I got the hang of it, and the Patons SWS did all the hard work with the colors!

2. Baby blanket half! My co-blanket knitter finished her half today, so it inspired me to finish my half. Now we just need to have a sewing up party and it will be a soft and beautiful present for my little nephew!

I cast on for a Quant!


It is my first attempt at knitting entrelac.... I must say it was a rough start (note to self: do not skip entire sections), but I think I am getting the hang of it!!!! The Patons SWS I am using is turning out beautifully! I am glad i chose to use it.

My Bulky IHS is allllllllllll done!


I wore it to work today and I am so glad I had it.... it was like 10 degrees out, brrr!!!


I am pretty happy with it... could have stood to have it a little longer, but I ran out of yarn :)

Also finished is my beautiful pair of fetching, made from dream in color:


Gorgeous! I want to keep them for myself!!! hmm I do have plenty of yarn left...Maybe ill make some more! :D
