Knitter Injury

So I suffered a TRUE knitter's injury this morning. The story:

Getting into my car to go to work, I had my knitting bag slung over my shoulder (per usual). As I sat down, I had a sharp pain in my shoulder. I said out loud "OWWWWW"... and the proceeded to look to see what got me... I looked down at my knitting bag and saw THIS:

and then looked at my sleeve and saw THIS:

and then looked at my ARM and I got myself!!!!!

Eek! LOL. Time for a non-fabric knitting bag, perhaps??? haha. Oh well... I survived.

Let's see... Oh i was going to show my now (somewhat) organized knitting storage:
Needle drawer... using a silverware organizer (lol)...

General stash that has SO overflowed these drawers into other parts of my apartment...

A giant ball of cotton I got for 5 bucks today!!!!!

And, just for fun... baby geese :D

Bits

Let's see... what to report?

My awesome new-to-knitting friend (yes, I drug her into the world of knitting) mailed me a beautiful present.... this awesome skein of Patons SWS:

I knit a small swatch of it already and it is GORGEOUS!

I love the subtle color change. I am thinking I can get a cute hat out of this skein... we will see!

Hmm... non-knitting wise, I transplanted my poor jade plant from its tiny starter pot into a "big boy" pot:

Yay how exciting! Now it can ACTUALLY grow. Maybe big! :-) I am sure it is happier already.

In other news, happy 31st anniversary to my parents tomorrow! Not that they read my blog, but I am happy for them. :-)

And the past two days have really reminded me of what Indiana weather is. Rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun, rain & sun, sun, rain, rain, rain, sun, sun, rain, rain & sun, sun, rain... LOL like every 10 minutes. While driving I alternated from rolling my windows down and putting on my sunglasses, to rolling them up and turning on my wipers. Hooray for the midwest!

Have a great week everyone!
